The Fish Of Plastic Empire|
For a long time now, people have been finding large amounts of non-biodegradable microplastics in marine organisms. These microplastics are formed by the decomposition of plastic waste in the ocean. It is gradually eaten, absorbed and fused by marine life, and eventually returned to the human table, forming a closed loop. From a non-human central perspective, are these creatures also the food that the ocean gives back to humans? The short film constructs a grotesque and bizarre space that revisits the identities of the eater and the eaten, presenting an exaggerated relationship of domination that challenges human perceptions of their place in the environment.
